Senior Macroeconomist with extensive financial and public sector experience

With nearly two decades of experience, I am a highly skilled senior macroeconomist currently serving as the Head of Forecasting at Handelsbanken Economic Research. My career began after earning an MSc in Economics from Uppsala University, Sweden. I have held economist positions at the key public sector institutions the Ministry of Finance and Statistics Sweden, and advanced to a Senior Economist role at the Riksbank, Sweden’s central bank.

At the Riksbank, I developed into a seasoned macroeconomist, specialising in presenting complex analyses and enhancing my forecasting, econometric modelling, and programming skills. At Handelsbanken, I have elevated these skills further, engaging with the public through client meetings, events, conferences, and frequent media appearances on business and national TV, radio, and newspapers.

As Head of Forecasting, I lead our research team’s macroeconomic and financial forecasting efforts, continuously sharpening and broadening my expertise.
