James Treadwell (BA, MA, DiPPS, PHD) is Professor of Criminology at Staffordshire University. He previously worked for the crime reduction charity NACRO, and the National Offender Management Service (now HMPPS). The author of an array of books and articles on a range of crime and criminal justice related topics, James has travelled all over the world studying crime and criminal behaviour, prisons, policing and criminal justice, specialising in violent and organised crime. He has appeared on BBC, Sky, GBNews, BBC Radio 4 Today, Thinking Allowed and documentaries such as A History of Now: Story of the Noughties, Inside HMP Wormwood Scrubs, Bellmarsh: Maximum Security, The Worlds Most Dangerous Prisoners.
