Professor Peter Kevern has degrees in Biology and Theology, and a PhD in Theology. The focus of his research is on the interface between dementia and religion: he has published extensively on how religious people (Christian and Muslim) respond to dementia and the resources religious communities can bring to the table. More broadly, he has worked on ageing and social policy; the cognitive psychology of religious belief; and the potential of religious organisations to advance public health goals.
